Come On Livan

The Mets are apparently close to a deal with Livan Hernandez. I am really hoping the Mets sign him because he is an innings eater and the Mets could really use one of those. He has put up decent numbers recently (11-11, 4.93 ERA) and he would be a consistent presence in the rotation. I also hear he has always wanted to play with Orlando and they may not have much more time to do that. Overall, I am looking forward to the Mets signing him. He could really contribute to the staff and give the Mets somebody to look forward to in the rotation.

David What have you DONE!

OK. I got over the shaved heads and I thought you would never pull something like that again. But THIS! Just a disgrace! David I love you but if you keep doing these things something is going to have to happen. I am just glad this can be fixed in less than six months. Probably would only take six minutes to get this back to normal. I cannot believe you would pull an A-Rod on us. Well you have all been waiting to see the picture. So...Here...It...Is!

P.S.
You can probably tell but it has obviously been a slow day for the Mets.

Just David

On Mets.com there are two articles about my very own David Wright. One of them is talking about his views on steroids and the Mitchell Report. It also talks about how Paul Lo Duca, a close friend, has influenced his opinion on steroids. The second article talks about what he is doing to get ready for the upcoming season. It also talks about the charity events David is going to.

I am so glad there is more good stuff from my David!

Sid the Kid

Sad news that Sidney Crosby could miss eight weeks because of a high ankle sprain. I am deeply saddened by this because Sid was my connection to hockey. The hottness rating of hockey has just plunged way down and when Sid comes back I will again be able to accept hockey as a sport. Until then I cannot follow this sport. Instead I will just wait until Sidney Crosby is better and this is for you SIDNEY!

Tomorrow there will be more baseball

It is not the End(y)

Today Endy Cchavez and the Mets reached an agreement to a two-year $3.85 million deal. This way he will stat with the Mets through the 2009 season. I am really glad Endy is coming back. He is probably the most popular bench player I have ever seen. Although he got injured in winter ball he says he is ready to play.
"I’m excited about coming back. I missed so much time last year and I can’t wait to be a part of things this season and help this team get back to the postseason…I’m fine, 100 percent ready to go. I can’t wait for the first game to get here."
Endy, keep on drinking your milk!

I cannot wait until pitchers and catchers!

Mets Hot Stove

Rick Peterson is going to be on Mets Hot Stove tomorrow night. It will air on SNY @ 6:30 and 11pm. I am really looking forward to hearing what Rick will say about the rotation and bullpen. I wonder where he thinks Mike Pelfrey should pitch from. I can't wait to watch!

Well...

It has been a quiet off-season so there has not really been much to write about. I don't like to think about what happened las year and it is good that there is less than a month until pitchers and catchers. There has been talk about the Mets getting Johan Santana but I don't think anything will happen with him until at least mid-season. I am upset that the Mets got rid of Shawn Green. I believe he could have really helped the Mets in the long run. They got rid of a great Jewish player and replaced him with somebody who's beliefs have been questioned by just about everybody. Other than that nothing has really happened. The wait is almost over!

Happy B-DAY MIKEY P! (and me!)

Happy B-day Mike Pelfrey. You are exactly 10 years older than me!
