Bring Out the Brooms!

What can I say?! The Mets swept the A's and it ended the A's 45 series streak of not being swept.

The game started on a high note with Jose Reyes. He doubled and scored on a throwing error by Jack Cust.

Paul Lo Duca was in the starting lineup because it was his bobble head day. He went 1-4 with Ramon Castro coming in to pinch-hit for what would be his last at-bat.

In the second Johnny Maine got his first career RBI. It was a sacrifice fly to center field that scored Jose Valentin.

A wild pitch and double by Easley gave the Mets 2 more runs in the third.

Valentin added a 3-run homer and Beltran had a 2-RBI single to give the Mets their final runs of the game.

In the end the score was 10-2 and the Mets swept the A's!

Keep it going boys we can do this!

Let's Go Mets!

DAVID!!!!!!!!

Last night El Duque pitched a masterful game but didn't get any run support. The A's left 10 runners on base and failed to get the big hit. For most of the game the Mets could not get the big hit either.

It was a frustrating game for hitters. In the 6th inning Paul Lo Duca got VERY upset about a strike called on a 0-1 pitch. He exploded and was ejected from the game. When he finally left the field he threw his shin-guards out of the dugout and onto the field. Ramon Castro came in so he could strike out swinging for Paul Lo Duca on the first pitch he sees. He was then put behind the plate.

In the bottom of the ninth Ramon Castro started off by doubling. He huffed and puffed all the way to second base. Carlos Beltran was intentionally walked.

Then it was DAVID!

He took the first pitch for a strike and the next for a ball.
The third pitched was blooped right in front of Travis Buck for the walk-off double.

And yes, Ramon Castro made it all the way from second to score.

P.S.
Mike Piazza was at the game. He went out to present the A's line-up.

HA HA!

One of my favorite jokes to lighten the moods of frustrated Mets fans

There was a 5 story building
on the first floor there was a poor man
on the second floor there was a rich man
on the third floor there was a couple
on the fourth floor there was a blind man
and on the fifth floor there was a woman that loves to take showers

One day the woman that loves to take showers was taking a shower
she hears her doorbell ring so she puts on her robe to answer the door

it is the poor man, he says:
congratulate me I just got money

she congratulates him and goes back to her shower

she is in the shower and hears the doorbell ring again
she puts on her robe to answer the door

it is the rich man, he says:
congratulate me I just donated money

she congratulates him and goes back to her shower

she is in the shower and hears the doorbell ring again
she puts on her robe to answer the door

it is the couple, they say:
congratulate us we just got married

she congratulates them and goes back to her shower

she is in the shower and hears the doorbell ring one more time
she knows it can only be the blind man so she doesn't put on her robe to answer the door

it is, he says:
CONGRATULATE ME I JUST GOT MY SIGHT BACK!

OUCH!

The Mets lost for the third straight time. They also lost another outfielder. Endy Chavez hurt his hamstring and is likely headed for the DL. I just hope the Mets win tonight.

3...2...1...BLAST OFF!

WOW! Last night's game was AH-MAZING! I stayed 'till the middle of the 11th. Delgado looks like he is finally coming out of his slump. 2 homers and one of them was a walk-off. Ollie did not have his best performance but the best kind of home run to give up is the solo shot. He is becoming a very good pitcher. The 12th inning was so great! ARMANDO with 2 balks and then he completely fell apart with the homer. It is nice to see him struggle with a team besides the Mets. David had a tough day going 1-for-5 but I still believe in him. Let's get another win 2night.

Stuff

David Wright has been swinging a hot bat lately. I am really glad he is hitting again.

I am going to the Mets game against the Giants on Tuesday. It is my first game this season and I cannot wait! Barry Zito is pitching against Ollie. I am a Barry Zito fan so I am really glad I will get to see him pitch. I hope he does well and then the Mets win off of the Giants bullpen.

I am also going to see the Pirates play against the Yankees on June 10. I can't wait until I get to see Xavier play. I have not seen him play since last July! Things are looking good for me besides the fact that finals are coming up.

Bring Out the Brooms!

David Wright had a GREAT game going 2-for-2 with 3 intentional walks. I really hope he can keep up that pace and do well the rest of the season.

Darrell Rasner left in the first after trying to field an Endy Chavez ground ball. He has a broken finger and the Yanks have one less starting pitcher.

Tom Glavine got win no. 295 even though the bullpen faltered. Scott Schoeneweis did not do well at all and Pedro Feliciano did not help. Aaron Heilmen got the last out of the eighth and Billy Wagner struggled a little in the ninth but still got the save. Overall, the Mets defeat the Yankees 10-7.

Time to SWEEP!

Let's Go Mets!

Game 1 is Done

Endy Chavez is AH-MAZING! He started off the game throwing out Johnny Damon to start the game. Then he had the MONSTER homer to give the Mets the lead and win the game. The Mets have won 1 now lets try to sweep!

WOW!

Wow! The Mets just won 6-5 over the Cubs. They scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth and won on Carlos Delgado's 2 RBI single. It is good to see Carlos get a big hit like that. He has 15 walk-off hits in his career.

David Wright pinch-hit for the first time in his career for Shawn Green in the ninth and got an RBI single

Jose Reyes got the day off after hurting his hamstring in the eighth inning yesterday but he should be ready for 2marrow starting the Subway Series

A GREAT win for the Mets!

Hairspray

Yesterday before the game 21 out of the 25 Mets shaved their heads. After the game 2 more gave in. Aaron Sele did not because he has family pictures Thursday but said he would Friday. Jose Reyes says he might shave his head but I advise him not to. As Gary Cohen put it they look like chihuahuas. They look to dare-I-say ugly to put pictures of even my David. For once I am glad Xavier is not a Met.

Blah

Well i have not posted for a few days but now i am back. I am very glad the mets came back last night. I was listening to the game until aaron heilman was put in. Then i figured the game was in the hands of the d-backs. Aaron has not been doing very well. I am hoping for another win tonight.

Did anybody else see Grey's Anatomy last night? I think Addie is just goofy. She is by far my favorite. I was sad when Meredith's mom died. I really liked her. The part in the Bridal shop was great! I don't think Addie should have her own show. She should come back to Seattle.

Josh Hancock

This morning Josh Hancock was killed in a car accident. He was 29 years old and a relief pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.
May He rest in Peace.

Cool Picture

12

The Mets won last night.
I only got to see from the ninth inning to the end but that turned out to be the best part. Julio Franco came through when we needed him and then Carlos Beltran and David Wright gave us the lead. It is good to see the Mets coming through in the clutch again.

On a bad note Valentin left the game with a sore knee. He says it does not seem like a big deal. He will fly back to New York for an MRI.

Boo Hoo

Well the Mets lost tonight. i just hope they win again soon. i don't want them to lose 6 in row with another loss one inning away like the Yankees. i have faith in Tommy glavine tomorrow, after all he is pitching against a guy who is 0-4 with a 7.77 era. but you never know they can always surprise you and throw a gem.

well anyway, i just hope the Mets win.
Goodnight

ME!

A little bit about myself!

I am 13 years old and love the Mets! My all time favorite players are David Wright and Xavier Nady. When X was traded I was so so so so so upset. My favorite thing to do is watch the Mets win! I have an older sister and younger brother. They are both yankee fans. uuggggh!
I cannot wait until I get to go to my first mets game this season! Last year i was so close to getting a foul ball at every game i went to! this season i know i will get one.

Once when i was at a mets game in Phillie jose reyes hit a leadoff homerun and i got the baseball! well, technically my brother got it but i have it now! so i hope i get another baseball this season!

Welcome

This is my first post!
I really hope the Mets win tonight. But then again i always really hope the Mets win. I will not be home to watch the game so I will be checking the updates on my phone. It is hard to know what Ollie is going to do next. It seems like he is good every other start. Is anybody else as confused about Ollie as I am? If he pitches like he did in his last outing then the Mets have an outstanding chance to win.

Well that's all for me now!
