MN Update

And by that, I mean Mike Nickeas.

He caught for the B-Mets tonight. He went 1-for-3 with a sac. bunt in the top of the 10th that helped the winning run score. The B-Mets went on to win 1-0.

YAY! for those Mets!

Let's Go Mike Nickeas!!!!!

I Hope It Isn't Over

No, I don't mean the Mets season. I mean Xavier Nady's career. He needs another Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of this year and a lot of next year. If he comes back. Just thinking that he might not play again makes me want to cry. I'm glad I've been an Xavier Nady fan for so long and I will be an Xavier Nady VI fan forever. I remember reading in the 2006 Mets yearbook that he said he would be a teacher if he wasn't a (timeout: a Billy Mays OxiClean commercial is on) baseball player.

I really don't want his baseball career to be over. Good luck, Xavier. Whatever you end up doing.

Let's Go Xavier!

P.S.
the 'XCN' and 22 in my email are for Xavier Clifford Nady and his uni #22.

The Post Without A Title

Well, I guess that gives it a title.

So, the Mets suck, a 4th celebrity has died, and I've decided to shave my head. Okay, the last one is false. But I really can't believe Billy Mays died. A couple of years ago me, my siblings, and a couple of family friends made up a parody of the Mighty Putty commercial and I kinda wish we had it on video.

It has been hard to watch the Subway Series. Especially because I live with 2 Yankee fans. But I really can't figure out why Omar has let the offense get this bad. I know the Mets have faced 3 ace pitchers in row but they should have gotten more than 1 hit last night. They already lost their chance to get Mark DeRosa and now people are saying Mark Teahen would be a choice for them. Honestly, I would LOVE (♥) to get Mark Teahen but I'm not sure the Royals are going to give him up. The Mets need to make a move for a bat and that's Omar's job so I'm going to stay out of it.

Let's Go Mets!

I wonder when the Spamalot people are going to come around to collect the dead. "I'm not dead yet!"

Some Notes From Last Night

I went to the Mets game last night and this time I promise to put up pics. But for now I'll just talk about the game.

When I got there with my dad we went to the right field seats and watched the pitchers stretch. Bobby Parnell wasn't throwing with anybody, he was only doing the running. I considered saying something like "Bobby, I ♥ you" or "Bobby, your my favorite!" but I chickened out. But from now on he will be known as My Favorite. (And I don't need quotes on this nickname!) After Bobby finished I focused on Brian Stokes, My Second Favorite, as he was throwing with Sean Green. After throwing the pitchers did some running and Pedro Feliciano and Johan fooled around with Brian Stokes.

After that I just kinda walked around until we went to our seats. They were in the promenade second row, a little bit behind third base. The game was a lot of fun and I promise to have the pictures up.

Let's Go Mets!

An 'S' Makes All The Difference

After last night's win a lot of people have been calling the new Mets a scrappy team. I am excited to see if they can continue to play the scrappy baseball like last night and if they continue to win. But, if they play how everybody expects them to play I guess they'll be called crappy. Yes, that one 's' decides whether Mets fans are happy or just kinda down in the dumps. Now that David Wright is the only proven offensive threat, the Mets desperately need somebody like Daniel Murphy to step up. I think he can do that. And Ryan Church doesn't get enough credit for his hitting, and the Mets have gotten the best offense from their catchers in the league this year. There are a lot of things that have to go right for the Mets to continue to win, but it seems somewhat reasonable for the Mets to have everything.

I believe the Mets will either click right away and go on an ultra weird unexpected run, or they will fall flat and not get the breaks that have been coming their way.

Either way, it's the Mets and I can never stop rooting.

Let's Go Mets!
