Mike Pelfrey went 7 innings and gave up 3 runs, all in a shaky 5th inning. I'm proud of this performance. He did his job and the Mets had every chance to win this game. It was the last start of the season for Mikey P. and it was nice to see him finish such an up and down season on a high note. He had shown more flashes of his true, good stuff recently and it's a good sign. He promised there wouldn't be another disaster after what happened in Colorado and there wasn't another terrible start from him. There were times he wasn't what a #2 starter should be, but he was never the disaster he was in that game. And tonight he pitched a good game. And again, I am proud.
The Mets have 4 more games to make something positive happen. Mike Pelfrey did his job.
Sheesh, only 4 more games.
Let's Go Mets!
